This tattoo was fun to do because I got to use some of the effects I did back in the day. For some reason a lot of kids are getting this symbol tattooed on them…..there must be some satanic love cult that I’m not aware of!

The symbol belongs to a Finnish rock band called HIM. Not sure if they’d really be your thing but check out any albums up until Love Metal. Pretty decent!

Not to sound all obnoxious and teacher-like but the scarab is a symbol of transformation and resurrection, seems kind of the same meanings as a phoenix. I only know all this because one of my friends is Egyptian and brought us a tiny scarab statue back from a family visit. Never thought to use it as a tattoo…hmmmmm.
