My mother has been working on a series of paintings based on icebergs and I really love these! It is also great that I have one of my favorites hanging in my home (thanks mom!). She has always been very supportive of my artistic development, and I am truly indebted to her for that. If you are interested in seeing some more of her work, you can check it out on her website!

Yo Chris!
I didn’t know your mom was an artist too. Maybe we spoke of it in high school but I don’t recall… Sweet. Her work is terrific. I like the minimalist nature of these pieces coupled with their otherworldly vibe. I think these pieces show good use of line, shape, form and space. And effective use of the principles of movement, rhythm, and proportion to give a brilliantly unique expression to a natural subject. The two above have an ethereal quality and have a somewhat calming effect especially probably due to their cool color palette and crumpled forms. The bottom piece is more sinister to me. I think the delineated form in that piece creates a kind of visual tension, and the warm color scheme evokes an almost ominous psychological affect. I like the dotted detail on the white lines. Their like starlights in a dark womb. Nice work! Kudos to your moms bro!
